Albert Tan Sin Hon, *Insurance-Backed Offshore Liquidity: Financial Law, Trust Governance and Regulatory Visibility at the PRC-Hong Kong Interface* (University of Groningen Press, 2026), DOI [10.21827/6ac3948159a9e](https://doi.org/10.21827/6ac3948159a9e).

The publisher catalogue and published PDF imprint identify **Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 International**, [CC BY-NC-ND 4.0](https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/). Preserve that attribution, licence and source when sharing the book. This companion does not change the book’s licence or grant unrestricted commercial use, translation or distribution of adapted editions. The licence’s exceptions and limitations remain applicable. Check third-party material separately where relevant.

The publisher’s [catalogue](https://books.ugp.rug.nl/ugp/catalog/book/300) and [unaltered PDF](https://books.ugp.rug.nl/ugp/catalog/download/300/584/1875) are the authoritative publication destinations. The book is not bundled in the classroom download. A local retrieval utility may download and check the publisher file for a reader’s own use. A checksum identifies the inspected file; it does not certify the correctness of the scholarship.

## New companion materials

The author commissioned this separate teaching companion on 7 November 2026. Original lesson text, practice questions, fictional cases, lecture slides and original explanatory diagrams in this directory are made available under [CC BY 4.0](https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/). Suggested attribution: “IBOL Open Learning Companion, Albert Tan Sin Hon, 2026, CC BY 4.0, https://www.alberttansinhon.com/ibol/”. Identify adaptations you make. This permission covers the new companion material only, to the extent rights subsist, and does not extend to the published book or third-party material.

These materials were prepared with AI assistance at the author’s request. They are supplementary teaching resources, not a new publisher-approved edition. Fictional exercises test distinctions on a disclosed record; they supply no evidence of market prevalence or participants’ motives. Public answer keys support formative practice and are unsuitable for a confidential examination without adaptation.

## Software

The original JavaScript, CSS, HTML implementation and Python programs of this companion are available under the [MIT licence](LICENSE-CODE.txt). This permission is confined to `site/ibol/` and `scripts/ibol/` software. It does not relicense other projects in the parent repository. Third-party packages retain their own licences. The optional MCP interface uses the official Python MCP SDK.

## Legal and evidential scope

The book’s legal cut-off is **1 August 2026**, except where the text states otherwise. Companion references explain that edition. Before advising on a real matter, verify the operative primary sources, commencement, amendments, jurisdiction, evidence and transaction date. The companion is educational and supplies no transaction-specific legal or financial advice.

The source record distinguishes the published PDF’s physical pages from printed numbers. For the inspected publisher PDF, printed page `n` corresponds to PDF page `n + 2`. A replacement PDF may change that mapping. Metadata and teaching materials identify the publisher URL, DOI, edition date and file hash so changes can be detected and reviewed.

The publication, a teaching supplement, software checks, independent scholarly review and actual adoption are different records. No indexing, institutional endorsement, learning improvement or AI recommendation is claimed without evidence.
