The catalogue and published imprint are the authority for the format-specific ISBNs and licence above. On the verification date, the Crossref record classified **9789403431925 as “print”**, although the publisher identifies it as the ePDF ISBN. It did not list the separate print ISBN. The discrepancy is recorded for publisher correction; this packet preserves the publisher’s format distinctions.

## Scope and teaching fit

The book examines how Mainland-connected value enters Hong Kong insurance, supports offshore credit and interacts with trust and company governance. Its organising method, relational legal analysis, requires each proposed connection to be tested against the relevant evidence, rule, decision-maker and remedy. The analysis also asks whether authorised institutions can assemble the facts needed for a specified decision.

It is chiefly suited to advanced postgraduate teaching and specialist research in financial law, insurance, trusts, secured finance, Greater China law and private international law. Constructed transaction files support doctrinal analysis. They do not establish the prevalence, typicality or motives of real arrangements. The companion offers guided activities for readers approaching those distinctions for the first time.

Possible course uses include a Chapter 1 methods seminar, Chapters 3–5 on rights and governance, Chapter 6 on institutional information, or an eight-session reading group. [Lesson plans](teaching-guide.md), [practice questions](quiz-answer-key.md) and [lecture slides](slides.html) are separately identified teaching resources.

## Import and link

Use the publisher DOI and catalogue link for the book record. Keep the companion as a related teaching resource. Match existing records by DOI and both ISBNs before creating a new record.

The packet includes [RIS](metadata/book.ris), [BibTeX](metadata/book.bib), [CSL JSON](metadata/book.csl.json), [Dublin Core XML](metadata/dublin-core.xml), [CSV](metadata/library.csv), [Schema.org JSON-LD](metadata/book.jsonld) and [CFF](CITATION.cff). These are companion-generated exports checked against the publisher record, not an authorised library’s cataloguing record. They do not assign a classification number, controlled subject heading, OCLC number or authority identifier.

For institutional import, use the format your system accepts and review the result. Where the title later appears in DOAB or OAPEN, their maintained metadata feeds may be preferable for collection-scale workflows. [DOAB’s current metadata documentation](https://doabooks.org/en/librarians/doab-metadata) describes feeds, selective exports and harvesting. [OAPEN’s metadata service](https://oapen.org/article/metadata) provides formats for library and discovery integration. Inclusion of this particular title in either service remained unconfirmed at this check.

## Rights and attribution

The book is freely readable. Its published licence permits sharing under its attribution and non-commercial conditions and restricts distribution of adaptations. A licence to the original companion materials does not alter the book’s terms. Retain the author, title, publisher, DOI and licence when sharing the book. Consult [the companion’s rights statement](RIGHTS.md) for the separate teaching and software terms.

## Observed discovery status

The publisher page and PDF are available. The DOI resolves to the publisher page. A Crossref monograph record and a public ORCID book record are confirmed. DOAB, OAPEN, Thoth downstream distribution and the University of Groningen research-portal record remain unconfirmed for this title. Failed or blocked retrieval does not establish absence. See the [dated distribution record](data/distribution-status.json) and [reach plan](outreach-plan.md).
