When optional Google Analytics is enabled, it starts only after you select Allow analytics. You can decline and continue using the website. Use to review or withdraw your choice.
Your choice is stored on this browser for up to 180 days. If you allow measurement, Google Analytics uses browser cookies, configured here to last up to 180 days, to distinguish visits. Withdrawing your choice stops further analytics collection by this website and removes its Google Analytics cookies. Clearing browser storage may cause the website to ask again.
What optional analytics measures
The purpose is to understand which research, teaching resources and projects visitors find useful. Measurements include the public page visited, approximate geographic location, browser and device information, the referring website and selected publication, project, download and contact-link clicks.
The website's tracking code sends fixed resource identifiers for selected clicks. It omits email addresses, message contents, URL query strings and fragments from those event details. Advertising features are disabled. A contact-link click shows an intention to make contact; it does not confirm that a message was sent or received. A download-link click does not confirm that a file was read.

The Google Analytics user and event data retention setting is two months, with automatic extension on new user activity turned off. Google deletes expired data through its scheduled processing. Standard aggregated reports are not limited by this retention setting.
Videos and other websites
On Listen & Learn, the embedded YouTube player loads when you choose to play a collection. YouTube then handles video playback under its own policies. External links, including institutional publication records, SSRN, GitHub and YouTube, take you to services governed by their own privacy notices.
Your analytics choice controls this website's optional Google Analytics. It does not stop the technical requests needed to display the website or a third-party service you choose to use.
